Privacy Policy
Short version: your measurements never leave your browser, we keep no personal data on our servers, and affiliate tracking only happens if you say yes.
Last updated: June 2026 · Operator: Atelier Apps (SIRET 10225809200018 / SIREN 102258092), France.
BraScout (the “Service”) is operated by Atelier Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Service.
Your measurements are processed in your browser
The size calculator runs entirely on your device. The measurements you enter (band and bust), your calculated sizes, language preference, breast-shape selection, saved brands, and accessibility settings are stored locally in your browser’s localStorage only. We do not collect, transmit, or store them on our servers.
What our ranking endpoint receives
When we show your top brand picks, your browser sends a single request to our own ranking endpoint (/api/picks). That request contains only the non-identifying data needed to rank brands: your calculated sizes per system (e.g. 34D), your selected sizing standard and region, an optional breast-shape key, optional bra-type and material preferences, and an occasion. It contains no name, no email, no account, and no device identifier, and we do not log or retain it. It is used to compute the response and then discarded.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser’s localStorage to remember your preferences and your consent choice (below). We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Outbound links & affiliate tracking (consent-based)
Some links to brands and retailers are affiliate links. When you choose to follow one, the click is routed through our own first-party redirect endpoint (/api/go) so we can record, in aggregate, which brands and placements are useful. This first-party measurement records only non-identifying signals (which brand, which screen, region, size band, and which affiliate tier was used). It does not record who you are.
Your consent controls affiliate tracking. On your first visit we ask whether you allow affiliate tracking cookies. If you decline (or haven’t chosen), outbound links go straight to the retailer with no affiliate or tracking parameters attached — the link still works, we simply earn nothing on it. If you accept, your click may pass through an affiliate network (e.g. Awin) which sets its own attribution cookie on the destination site. You can change your choice at any time; your choice is stored in localStorage on your device. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how the programs work.
When you click through to a third-party retailer you leave BraScout and become subject to that site’s own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, first-party, aggregate analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which features are used and which brands are clicked). This data is non-identifying and is not sold or shared for advertising. We do not use third-party advertising analytics.
Newsletter (EmailOctopus)
If you opt in to the newsletter, the email address you provide is stored by EmailOctopus (UK), our email service provider, under their privacy policy. We use it only to send fit reminders and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email.
Your GDPR rights
As a France-based operator, we comply with the GDPR and CNIL guidance. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port any personal data we hold about you. Since the only personal data we hold is your newsletter email (if you subscribed), you can exercise these rights via EmailOctopus or by emailing us.
Children
BraScout is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
